Translator ii: Grower is a small rover vehicle which navigates around the edges of a room. It draws lines on the wall in response to carbon dioxide levels in the air, the amount of carbon dioxide will determine the height of the line. All of the line are coloured shades of green to represent blades of grass. When this piece is used in an exhibition space, the number of people in the room will directly affect how tall the line is and how the space will look, due to humans producing Co2 as a byproduct of breathing.
A metaphorical meaning for this work could be that machines will always need human interaction to function and for humans to create thing they will need the help of machines or tools.
Video created by the artist cyberlight in collaboration with with music producer L-vis 1990 and Sjin Hawk. The work is from a collection of other collaborations called ‘FractalFantasy’, which all feature a similar style and theme. The video shows metallic and fluid computerised graphics, that seem to be reacting in correspondence to the music or sounds being emulated.
The sounds being produced varies throughout the video, starting initially with noise and droning sounds, but moves quickly into a harsh alien attack. The video reflects these sounds by showing rapidly moving metallic skin, jagged iron whips and bubbling pools of mercury bending and moulding in response to the noises being played.

I am defiantly a fan of this kind of work as it is using 3D animation in a modern and artistic style.
